Caskets

Caskets come in a variety of styles and materials as well as price ranges to suit all individuals. The most common caskets are constructed of either metal or wood and often have an array of finishes as well as interior choices. Caskets can be personalized to be a tribute to fit your loved one.  Metal  Metal caskets are comprised of bronze, copper, stainless steel and steel. Most metal caskets have the ability to seal. Bronze is the strongest and has greatest longevity of all caskets, but tends to be one of the more expensive options Copper is also considered to be durable and is also non-corrosive Stainless steel is known for its prolonged existence as it is used to comprise such items as tableware and medical equipment. Outer Burial Containers

Outer burial containers are used to enclose the casket and are also known as grave liners or burial vaults. They are not required by state law, but are often a cemetery requirement. Outer burial containers protect the casket as the earth settles thus keeping the ground intact and help maintain the appearance of the cemetery for years to come. Grave liners are non-sealing receptacles made of concrete with drainage holes in the base. Burial vaults protect the casket by having a sealing mechanism, which does not allow earthly elements to enter and exit. They are available in different levels of protection:                     • Single reinforced vaults are constructed of high strength concrete and reinforced                        with a Strentex plastic liner or for additional strength, with a high-impact ABS                        Marbelon plastic liner                     • Double reinforced burial vaults are constructed of high strength concrete reinforced                        with your choice of bronze, copper or stainless steel metal bonded to a high-impact                        ABS Trilon thermoplastic liner                     • Triple reinforced burial vaults are constructed of high strength concrete reinforced                        with bronze and both plastic liners, ABS Trilon thermoplastic and ABS Marbelon plastic

Urns

Urns are receptacles used to hold cremated remains. Like caskets, urns can be constructed of a variety of materials and be personalized to be a lasting mark of respect and honor for your loved one. Urns are often comprised of the following:                     • Wood, such as oak, mahogany, maple, cherry, cedar and pine                     • Metal, such as bronze, copper, or pewter                     • Natural stones such as marble, granite or onyx                     • Cultured marble                     • Ceramic                     • Porcelain                     • Plastic                     • Biodegradable materials

Urn Vaults

Urn vaults are used to encase urns. They offer the same benefits to an urn as a vault offers a casket, however they come in a much smaller size. There are different levels of protection offered just as with vaults. Urn vaults are not required by the state; however they may be required by cemeteries.
